Intra Group Competition

Intra group competition was conducted by the NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai on 20.03.2016 and 23.06.2016, led by Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran. The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College were divided into three platoons namely, Arjuna, Ranaprathap and Shivaji. Each platoon had equal strength of 21 cadets. Various events like Drill Competition, Physical Proficiency test, 110m Obstacles Running, Volley ball and 4*100m Relay were conducted for the cadets of three platoons.The Overall Best Platoon award was awarded to Arjuna Platoon.

 

 

Trekking

The NCC cadets of Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai went on trekking from Guruvarediyur to Chitteshwaran temple at Palamalai on 05.03.2016. The Trekking was carried out for a distance of 30kms . The troop was led by NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran. On the way to the Chitteshwaran Temple, the cadets visited a tribal village, Periyakulam and gave notebooks and writing materials to the children of that village. They also cleaned the village under the Clean India Program. The cadets were exposed to adventures in military service in this trekking. The Correspondent Mr. V.K.Muthuswamy and the Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami of Kongu engineering college and Commanding Officer Lt Col Sudhir Nair have appreciated the cadets in organizing such activities.
