Motivational Speech

The ex-cadet Lt P.Rajashekar of Kongu Engineering College gave a motivational speech on ‘How to join Armed Forces’ to the NCC cadets on 27.01.2016.The Correspondent Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy and the Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami of Kongu engineering college gave momento to the chief guest.

67th Republic Day Celeberation

The NCC unit of Kongu Engineering College celebrated 67th Republic Day on 26 January 2016. The Chief Guest of the function Mr. V.K.Muthuswamy hoisted the tricolor National Flag and gave a motivational speech about the Republic Day and also emphasized that one can become good citizen if one has good physical and mental health that can think better and take wise decisions for themselves and for the nation. The Guard of Honour was presented to the Chief Guest Mr. V.K.Muthuswamy by our NCC Cadets. The NCC troop did arms drill and foot drill march past. The staff members and students of Kongu engineering college have attended the function. The arrangements for Republic day celebrations was made by the NCC cadets. The Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami and NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran has appreciated the cadets for organizing the program.

Mini Marathon

A Mini-Marathon event for NCC cadets was organized jointly by Kongu Polytechnic college NCC unit and Kongu Engineering College NCC unit on 24.01.2016. Cadets from all the colleges of 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode participated in the event. A total of 498 cadets (both SD and SW) participated in the event. The event was flagged by the Correspondent Mr. C.Kumarasamy and the Principal Mr.V.Vedhagiri Eswaran of Kongu Polytechnic College, Perundurai. SD cadets covered a distance of 6km and SW cadets, 3km. The event started at Vaikalmedu and finished at Kongu Engineering College ground. NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College NSS unit guided the participants throughout the distance and had established three water points. Medals and cash prize were awarded to the prize winners. Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran, NCC Officer of Kongu Engineering College congratulated the cadets for participating in this event. Lt Col Sudhir Nair, Commanding Officer of 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode congratulated the cadets in organizing such event.
