OPEN DEFECATION FREE CAMPAIGN

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

The NCC Unit of Kongu Engineering College has organized Blood Donation Camp in our college campus. NCC officer Major Dr P. S. Ragavendhran, NCC Officer Lieutenant K.Karthick ,Cadet Senior Under officer  E.Sibi Sakkaravarthy, Cadet Under Officer M.Jagatheesh  and Corporal S.Karthigha have donated blood to IRTT Medical College Blood Bank, Perundurai. The Correspondent Mr.A.Venkatachalam and the Principal Prof. S. Kuppuswami inaugurated the program along with Army Staff Havildar Manikandan. Commanding Officer of 15 (TN) BN NCC,Erode Lt. Colonel Sanil Damodaran and Dr. P.Senthil Velmurugan (Controller of Examination, Kongu Engineering College) appreciated the cadets for Donating Blood in the blood donation camp. 
Number of cadets donated blood during this occasion: 28.

MAVLANKAR SHOTTING CAMP 2016

CQMS A.Jegan , L/Cpl A.Arumugam and  L/Cpl L.Mohana Priya of Kongu Engineering College had Participated in Mavlankar National level Shooting Competition held at Asansol, West Bengal. Our cadet L/Cpl L.Mohana Priya securied Minimum Qualification Scores (MQS). The Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry & Andaman. Nicobar Directerate got over all tenth place.

IGC CAMP FOR TSC

NCC cadets of  Kongu engineering college CUO M.Jagatheesh and CPL K.Karthigha had participated in IGC camp held at Nagercoil and got gold medal in Advance Rifle Shooting and Tent Pitching competition completed in 6.18 minutes .Coimbatore Group secured in over all Third place in TSC-IGC 2016.

TSC PRE -IGC (BOYS) CAMP 2016

NCC Cadet of Kongu Engineering College CUO M.JAGATHEESH had participated in PRE-IGC camp held at CSI Polytechnic College and Government Arts College  Salem and got selected to IGC camp.

PRE -IGC LANCH CAMP 2016 (GIRLS)

NCC Cadet of Kongu Engineering College CPL K.Karthigha had participated in PRE-IGC camp held at PSG college of arts and science coimbatore, and got selected to IGC camp.

TSC GIRLS SLECTION CAMP

NCC cadet CPL K.karthigha of kongu engineering college had participated in TSC girls selection camp  held on 18.06.2016 to 27.06.2016 at dr.kalainger karunanithi institute of technology  and got selected for PRE-IGC camp.

TSC CUM IGC BASKET BALL SELECTION CAMP

NCC cadets of kongu engineering college were participated in TSC  & IGC selection camp held on 17.06.2016 to 26.06.2016 at Jayam college of engineering and technology,dharmapuri.  CUO M.Jagatheesh got selected for PRE-IGC camp and SUO E.Sibi sakaravarthy was participated in basket ball training camp.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

The International Youth Day was celebrated by the NCC cadets of  Kongu Engineering College on 12.08.2016. Prof.G.Chitra, Assisstant Professor of English Department delivered the lecture on Leadership qualities and Improving communication skills on 12.08.2016. Drawing Competition was also conducted about Clean India theme for the cadets to inculcate cleaniness drive quality. The Prize distribution function was held with Dr P.Navaneethakrishnan, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering as the guest of the day. On that day, Welcome address was given by CSUO E.Sibi Sakkaravarthy and Vote of thanks was given by CSM K.Sudhakar. Associate NCC Officer Major Dr P.S Raghavendran gave a speech on Importance on Cleaniness drive on in and out of the campus and to serve the society.

MAVLANKAR SHOOTING CAMP 2016

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College CQMS A.Jegan , L/Cpl A.Arumugam and  L/Cpl L.Mohana Priya participated in Mavlankar Shooting camp held at West Bengal. L/Cpl L.Mohana Priya secured Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) in this competition. DG NCC Lt Gen Anirudha Chakravarthy awarded her cash prize of Rs. 500 during the occasion.

70 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The NCC unit of Kongu Engineering College celebrated 70th Independence day on 15 August 2016. The Chief Guest of the function Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy offer floral tributes to the freedom fighters and also hoisted the tricolor National Flag and gave a motivational speech about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who fought for our nation. The Guard of Honour was presented to the chief guest by our NCC cadets. The NCC troop led by SUO E.Sibi Sakkaravarthy did arms drill march past. The staff members and students of Kongu engineering college have attended the function. The arrangements for Independence day celebrations was made by NCC cadets. The Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami and NCC Officer Major Dr P.S.Raghavendran appreciated the cadets in organizing the program.

SWACHHTA PAKHWADA SCHEME UNDER SWACHH BHARAT MISSION

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College organised The Clean India Programme under the Swachhta Pakhwada Scheme on 07.08.2016 covering in and around the Kongu Engineering College Campus. The Cadets collected almost 200 kgs of Plastics and non-biodegradable wastes.

TREE PLANTATION

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering have planted Fifty Tree Saplings on 03.08.2016 in Kongu Engineering College Firing Range and along the roads to enrich the ecosystem and to enhance the quality of living.

KARGIL VIJAYA DIWAS

The NCC unit of Kongu Engineering College has celebrated 17^th anniversary of Kargil Victory day on 26 July 2016. The Guest of honour,Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami appreciated the cadets interest in celebrating such programmes on behalf of NCC. Cadet Under Officer M.Jagatheesh has briefed the Kargil war to the cadets and gathered students. NCC Officer Major Dr P.S.Raghavendran also briefed the supreme sacrifice made by war heroes in the Kargil war. The Correspondent Mr. V.K.Muthuswamy  appreciated the cadets in organizing the program. BHM Muthukumaran also appreciated the cadets and shared his experience.

SECOND INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The Second International Yoga Day was celebrated in Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai on 21.06.2016. About 180 cadets of Kongu Engineering College, Kongu Polytechnic College, Kongu Arts and Science College and Government Boys Hr. Sec School were Participated as per protocol. Also a special program was performed by cadet K.Sathiyanathan infront of our chief guest Mr.V.K.Muthusamy correspondent of Kongu Engineering College and he had appreciated for his good performance and he also presented a cash award of Rs.1000 to cadet K.Sathiyanathan.

CATC CUM IGC SHOOTING CAPSULE CUM TSC SELECTION CAMP, KKC 2016

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College attended the CATC CUM IGC Shooting Capsule CUM TSC Selection Camp at KKC, P.Velur from 05.06.2016 to 14.06.2016. Three of our cadets CQMS A.Jagan, L/Cpl A.Arumugam and L/Cpl L.Mohana Priya won Gold Medal in Inter Group Shooting Competition. Coimbatore Group won the Overall Championship in the shooting competition. Our Cadet CUO M.Jagatheesh shortlisted for Pre-IGC TSC Camp. Our cadets participated in various activities during the camp.

 

  

  

CATC CUM PRE - IGC Shooting CUM TSC Selection Camp KKC 2016

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College attended CATC CUM PRE-IGC Shooting CUM TSC Selection Camp at KKC, P.Velur from 23.05.2016 to 01.06.2016. In that CUO M.Jagatheesh and Cpl S.Karthigha attended the TSC Selection and shortlisted for the next camp. Four of our Cadets attended the Pre-IGC Shooting Camp.

YOGA TRAINING

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College organised two days Yoga training and a motivational lecture on Benefits of Yoga on 26.05.2016 and 27.05.2016 in our college. Prof. Vadivel of Mathematics department and Satheesh kanth gave a motivational lecture on Benefits of Yoga. The NCC Officer Major Dr P.S.Raghavendran apprecited the cadets for their involvement.

Valedictory Function

NCC Valedictory function for the academic year 2015-2016 was held on 12.04.2016 at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai. The Welcome address was given by CQMS P.Anbalagan. The Annual report was given by Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran. The Presidential address was given by Dr. K.Krishnamurthy M.E,PhD. The Chief guest of the function Lt Col Sudhir Nair addressed the gathering and distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions. Vote of thanks was delivered by CUO M.Prathap.

 

Intra Group Competition

Intra group competition was conducted by the NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai on 20.03.2016 and 23.06.2016, led by Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran. The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College were divided into three platoons namely, Arjuna, Ranaprathap and Shivaji. Each platoon had equal strength of 21 cadets. Various events like Drill Competition, Physical Proficiency test, 110m Obstacles Running, Volley ball and 4*100m Relay were conducted for the cadets of three platoons.The Overall Best Platoon award was awarded to Arjuna Platoon.
