Flood Relief Activity

The NCC cadets and the Students of Kongu Engineering College along with the Correspondent Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy and the Principal Prof S.Kuppuswami helped the people of Cuddalore District by giving dresses and foods during the Flood Relief Activity.

Orphanage visit

The NCC cadets of Kongu Engineering College visited an orphanage named "Shirdi Sai Arul Kudi Ashram" at Aarapalayam in Thiruchengode on 03.12.2015.The cadets donated food items and medical kits to the orphanage. The cadets spent more time with them by making fun which was the unforgettable moment and made sweet memories.

 

CATC,EASC,Erode.

15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode under the leadership of Camp Commandant, Lt Col Sudhir Nair has organised the Combined Annual training Camp for a period of 10 days which effected from 19 to 28 Nov 2015 at Erode Arts and Science College, Rangampalayam, Erode. A total of 489 cadets from various school and colleges have attended the camp. Our cadets participated in various events in this camp.

NCC Day Celebration

NCC Day was celebrated by the NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College along with the NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran on  29.11.2015 .The Cheif Guest of this funtion was the Head of the Department of  Eletrical and Eletronics Engineering, Prof Dr. N.Senthilnathan ME PhD. He also gave a motivational speech about the role of  NCC Cadets in the society. Various Events were held during that day and prizes were distributed to the winners by the Cheif Guest.

Cycle Expedition Rally

 Cycle rally for creating awareness on “Saving Water and Electricity “ was conducted by NCC cadets of Kongu Engineering College on 17.10.2015.  The NCC Cadets along with the NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran and Army staff members Subedar Alok Roy and Havildar N.Pothiraj took part in the rally. The rally covered a total distance of 89kms from Kongu Engineering College to Kangayam via Chennimalai and then again from Kangayam to Perundurai via Noyil, Erode. NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendiran motivated the cadets took part in the rally. Mr. V.K.Muthusamy, the Correspondent and Prof S.Kuppuswami, the Principal of Kongu Engineering College and the Commanding Officer Lt Col Sudhir Nair, 15 (TN) BN NCC, Erode have appreciated the cadets for organizing such programmes. 

Clean India Programme

Clean India Programme was organised by the NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College along with the NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran in a school belonging to the Sennimalai Panchayat on 02.10.2015.The NCC cadets removed all the papers, plastics and unwanted weeds in the school.

Diabetes and Anti-Drug Awareness Rally

An awareness rally on Diabetes and Anti Drug was held in perundurai town by the NCC cadets of Kongu Engineering College along with the NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran on 25.09.2015 covering the major streets of perundurai town and a distance of 3kms. The rally was flagged off by Mr. S.Nethra Sigamani, Executive member of Coimbatore Rifle Club and a member of Tamil Nadu Rifle Association. During the rally, the cadets have kept placards and distributed pamphlets and raised slogans about the Diabetes and Anti Drug drive. The Correspondent of the college Mr. V.K.Muthusamy, the Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami and the Commanding Officer Lt Col Sudhir Nair have appreciated the cadets move in organizing such awareness programmes.

Battalion Blood Donation Camp

15(TN) BN NCC, Erode conducted a Blood Donation Camp on 19.09.2015. The cadets of Kongu Engineering College donated blood during this occassion.

OTA Visit

The NCC cadets of Kongu Engineering College along with the NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran visited the OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY to watch the pre-passing out parade on 10.09.2015.

Mavlankar Shooting camp

CUO M.Prathap and CUO S.Harikrishnan of  Kongu Engineering College have participated and won medals in National level Shooting camp held at Asansol, West Bengal. The Correspondent Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy, the Principal Prof Mr.S.Kuppuswami and NCC officer Major Dr. P.S.Raghavendran appreciated the cadets for their achievement.

Tree Plantation

Tree saplings were planted on the road sides of Kongu Engineering College to Perundurai road by the NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering College from 19.08.2015 to 26.08.2015 to enrich the ecosystem.

69th Independence Day Celeberation

The NCC unit of Kongu Engineering College celebrated 69^th Independence day on 15 August 2015. The Chief Guest of the function Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy hoisted the tricolor National Flag and gave a motivational speech about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who fought for our nation. The NCC troop led by CUO S.Ramachandran did arms drill march past. The staff members and students of Kongu engineering college have attended the function. The arrangements for Independence day celebrations was made by NCC cadets. The Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami and NCC Officer Major P.S.Raghavendran appreciated the cadets in organizing the program.

Sports Camp-Inter Group Competition,Madurai

The cadets of Kongu Engineering College represented Coimbatore group for 4*100m Relay in Inter Group Athletics Trials for NCC National Games-2015 held at 11 (BN) TSPF, Mottai Malai Camp, Rajapalayam,Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu from 07.08.2015 to 11.08.2015. Our cadets achieved 3rd prize in this event.

Dr.C.Sylendra Babu I.P.S

The Guard of Honour was presented to Dr. C.Sylendra Babu I.P.S by the NCC cadets of  Kongu Engineering College on 08.08.2015.

RD Selection camp,Coimbatore

The cadets of Kongu Engineering College attended RD Selection camp and Athletics Selection camp held at Karpagam University, 2 (TN) CTC, Coimbatore from 20.07.2015 to 29.07.2015.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

The NCC unit of Kongu Engineering College has celebrated 16^th anniversary of Kargil Victory day on 26 July 2015. The Guest of honour, Dr. K.Kannan, associate professor appreciated the cadets interest in celebrating such programmes on behalf of NCC. He said that this will motivate the cadets to respect and serve our nation. Cadet Under Officer S.Ramachandran has briefed the Kargil war to the cadets and gathered students. He also briefed the supreme sacrifice made by Captain Vikram Batra and brave act by Subedar Yogendra Singh Yadav in the Kargil war. The Correspondent Mr. V.K.Muthuswamy, The Principal Prof. S.Kuppuswami and NCC Officer Major Dr. P.S.Ragavendhran appreciated the cadets in organizing the program.

International Yoga Day

On 21^st June 2015, The International Day of Yoga was celebrated by the NCC cadets of Coimbatore group at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai. There was a congregation of  2780 cadets who were  assembled in the stadium. The event was observed by dignitaries from all walks of life. The Chief Guest Mr. V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent of Kongu Engineering College, addressed the cadets and applauded them for their great achievement. Lieutenant Colonel Sudhir Nair, Commanding Officer of 15 (TN) BN NCC thanked all the cadets, ANOs and the Staff members of Kongu Engineering College for making the event a grand success.

 

CATC CUM IGC SHOOTING CAPSULE CAMP,KKC

The NCC Cadets of Kongu Engineering college attended CATC CUM IGC SHOOTING CAPSULE CAMP at KKC, P.Velur from 4.06.2015 to 13.06.2015. CUO S.Harikrishnan won a Silver medal and a Bronze medal and CUO M.Prathap won a Gold medal in Inter Group Shooting Competition. Coimbatore group won the Overall Championship in the shooting competition. Our  Cadets participated in various activities during the camp.
